I have so many happy memories of dear Brenda whom I first met back in 1999. She became very friendly with my wife Susan at Kettering Leisure village where we all played various sports. I also became a good friend of Ray (Brenda’s husband) through playing bowls although for quite some time didn’t connect them. About 3 years before Ray sadly died Brenda asked me to give her some table- tennis coaching, and then help her with her finances when Ray passed away, My wife died suddenly 7 years ago , and about 4 years ago Brenda asked me if I would go to the theatre with her. The rest as they say is history! Two Covid lockdowns have been a real nuisance , but nevertheless we have had 4 lovely years together, theatre , cinema, eating out a lot, and she cooking sometimes ( paella was her specialty). We became very close which we didn’t advertise so now I am missing her greatly and will always do so. She loved sitting in my garden, summer house or conservatory so that’s how I am going to remember her. R. I.P. You lovely lady. xxx . Carl.
